10 years in the making

The first reactions are in for Dunkirk, the new film from acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan and it seems like he’s gone and done it again.

Dunkirk marks Nolan’s first film since Interstellar (2014) and follows the battle between German soldiers and Allied troops that lasted for ten days in 1940 which ultimately led to the evacuation of more than 330,000 allied troops.

The film was screened for critics ahead of its release and, judging by their reactions, it seems like Nolan has nailed the war genre with one critic describing it as “Inception meets The Longest Day.”

The collaborative careers of filmmaker Christopher Nolan and composer Hans Zimmer come together for an intense soundscape that one imagines mimics the quick, ticking thoughts of a true warrior on the battle field.
