We’re pleased to feature a new artist exhibition in our cafe/foyer and upstairs in Room with a View.
‘This small exhibition is a snapshot of an ongoing series of collages the overriding influence is the Surrealist notion of “Chance”. The “Exquisite Corpse” plays a central role in their production. The Surrealists used automatic techniques to “Freeze” chance events often using randomly cut or torn fragments of paper that bear an image it is a way of presenting a new reality of telling an untold story.The works on show are part of a recurring theme “Music”, good old vinyl played on an old Dansette complete hisses and scratches. -Charlie Holt
